Freehand exhibition

Devon Guild.  Riverside MillBovey Tracy.  Sat. 23 May-Sun. 5 July

Freehand is a celebration of a series of participatory projects which have taken place in partnership with a range of organisations through 2014 -15.
Using the project theme of Freedom, our artists and makers have worked with children and young people from mainstream schools, young people supported by social services, young people with complex needs, older
people living in supported communities, refugees, adults with learning disabilities and prisoners from HMP Dartmoor to produce truly inspirational work.

Freehand illustrates the immeasurable value of hands-on making and expressive activity. Through this project we have connected with people who have little engagement with the arts and have assisted them to explore their creative abilities and gain new skills, either as a solitary or a social activity, regardless of age, ability or circumstance. We would like to thank all our workshop leaders, the participating organisations and the support of The Wakefield Trust, The Radcliffe Trust and The 29th May Charitable Trust.
